Service 01 · Rescue

Rescue a stalled selection.

You ran SELEX, it enriched — but nothing bound, or truncation killed your lead. Send us the sequencing pool. We re-read it under real buffer conditions and hand back a ranked shortlist of candidates worth synthesising and testing — a priority order for your bench, not yet a validated binder.

failed pools rescued. Denominator: 22 pools that had enriched but yielded no binder by abundance ranking, re-analysed by us. Six produced a consistent family with a synthesis-ready shortlist that the group took forward. In the other sixteen the pipeline found no candidate under the stated conditions — which we report as exactly that, not as proof that no binder exists. Internal lab records, not peer-reviewed; per-pool breakdown under NDA. How we count →
Sound familiar?

Enrichment isn't binding. That's the gap.

Nothing bound

The pool converged on a few high-count sequences — but the top reads don't bind, and the real binder is buried lower down.

Truncation killed it

You had a lead, minimized it, and lost the affinity — with no way to know which region actually mattered.

Hundreds of look-alikes

Full-length clustering split one binding family across dozens of clusters, so you can't tell what's really distinct.

How it works

From your pool to a shortlist, in four steps.

01

Send your data

Ship us the raw FASTQ (or a count table) and your selection buffer. NDA first if you want one.

02

We re-read it

Fold under your real Na⁺/Mg²⁺/K⁺/Ca²⁺, detect G-quadruplexes, and cluster by loop structure — not full-length sequence.

03

You get a shortlist

A ranked, structure-aware set of candidates, each with its conserved motif and where to truncate.

04

Make the winners

Synthesize the few worth testing — and skip the rounds you'd have wasted on look-alikes.

What you get

A shortlist you can act on.

Not a data dump — a decision. Every candidate comes with the evidence you need to synthesise it with confidence. What it is not: a validated binder. Binding is shown by your assay; the report says so on page one.

  • Ranked candidate shortlist (typically 3–8)
  • Structure under your real assay buffer, with G-quadruplexes flagged
  • The conserved motif per family — your likely binding core
  • Truncation map: where to cut, where not to
  • A one-page report, synthesis-ready (no ambiguous bases)

Free assessment
Free

One pool. We check the data can be analysed, tell you how many families we see, and preview up to three candidates. Enough to judge on your own data — not the full shortlist.

Rescue screen
Fixed fee per pool

The full ranked shortlist with family sheets, real-buffer structures, G-quadruplex flags and truncation map, plus a working call to walk through it. Quoted before we start.

Full rescue
Three stages

A base fee that covers our cost, a delivery fee on hand-over of the complete report, and a success fee only after your binding assay confirms the Kd of a candidate we ranked. Zero risk on the last stage if nothing binds.

Prices are quoted per project by email; we publish the structure, not a list price, while pricing is being set with the first customers.

Questions

The obvious ones.

Who sees my sequences?

Only the AptaPilot team, and only after an NDA is signed — ours or yours. Data is received through a private link, used for your project alone, never shared with third parties, and deleted on request when the project closes. The partner lab sees it only if you commission wet-lab work.

What do you need from me?

The raw FASTQ (or a sequence + count table) and your selection buffer composition. That's enough to start.

What if there's genuinely nothing there?

We'll tell you early. "No candidate found" means our pipeline saw no consistent family in your pool under your conditions — it is not proof that no binder exists, and the report will say which is which. The free assessment costs nothing either way.

Can you also run the wet-lab validation?

Yes — that's our Discovery service. Many clients start with a Rescue, then have us run the selection or validation end-to-end.
